Psalm 66:4 (NKJV) All the earth shall worship You and sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.

Let’s take a moment to talk about cicadas.
I’m often struck by how loud and persistent they are. Their buzz fills the air, relentless and impossible to ignore. My first instinct is to sigh and think, “What a noisy bunch of creatures!” I imagine I’m not alone in this. Many of us crave quiet, and the cicadas seem to drown it out with their noise. It’s easy to label them a nuisance, a disruption to the peace we seek.
But then, one day on my walk home, something shifts.
I pause. I listen. And a new thought rises: They’re not just making noise… they’re worshipping.
All of creation was made to worship Father God. And suddenly, what once grated against my ears becomes something glorious. Their sound transforms—not into silence, but into song. A symphony of praise, rising from the trees and fields, echoing the joy of being alive in God’s world.
What we often dismiss as bothersome may, in truth, be a sacred melody.
The cicadas are praising God with the voices He gave them. Their rhythm, their persistence, their unity, it’s all worship. And in that moment, I feel the invitation: Join them. Let your voice rise. Let your heart sing. Be part of the choir.
I see them now not as intruders, but as worshippers of the one true, living God—the Father of all creation.

My Prayer for You:
I pray you may be like cicadas. In every season, in every place, may your voice lift praise to the Lord. And when you hear them again—whether in the heat of summer or the stillness of dusk—may you pause. May you listen. May you remember. Their song is beautiful, a call to worship.
Thank you, Father.
You alone are worthy.

Journal Your Journey
Take a Brave Step into Deeper Worship:
Take a moment to step outside. Let your eyes wander across creation and notice what’s lifting praise to the Lord. Watch how the trees sway, how the birds sing, how even the breeze seems to whisper His name. Let it stir something deep within you—a quiet awe, a longing to join in. May your heart be captivated by the worship all around, and may it draw you closer to the Father, inviting your own voice to rise in praise.
